An Istanbul and Cappadocia itinerary outline

Use your first Istanbul day for arrival and a manageable local outing. Group sightseeing by area on the following days, and keep one flexible period for a Bosphorus experience, neighbourhood exploring or shopping according to your interests.

Allow a separate transfer day for travelling to Cappadocia. Ask which airport your domestic flight uses and how the hotel transfer works. Keep at least one flexible block in Cappadocia rather than attaching every activity to a tight arrival or departure window.

Hot-air balloon flights depend on operating conditions. Treat a balloon experience as a separately confirmed activity; ask about the operator’s cancellation or rescheduling terms and a ground-based alternative if it does not operate.

What should a Turkey package quote specify?

• International departure city, flight route and baggage allowance.
• Any domestic flight, its airport and the baggage allowance on that ticket.
• Hotel names, location, room category, breakfast and occupancy.
• Airport transfers, private or shared sightseeing, entrance tickets and guide services.
• Optional activities, visa assistance, insurance and items excluded from the price.
